Ammannia Gracilis 'Red' - Tropical Aquarium Plant - CloudAqua

This plant is a large stem plant with medium pink and red leaves. It can grow very tall and is generally used as a background plant. The node intersections are quite far apart so it is not dense or bushy. Grows very straight, and does not produce side shoots unless trimmed.

Ammannia Gracilis 'Red' prefers higher light for optimum growth. Grows quickly with higher fertilisation and CO2 although this is not strictly required. Rich and stable nutrients and CO2 will enhance its pink and red tones. Plant the stems closely with sufficient space between stems.

Cut healthy tops and replant, and lower nodes will sprout side shoots. Cutting will also promote more vigorous growth.
