Shinnersia Rivularis 'Weiss-Grün' more commonly known as 'Mexican Oak Leaf' is a tall plant that grows rapidly and soon reaches the water surface. Shinnersia can be sensitive to high temperatures. Placing several plants together will create a bushy appearance and improve overall look. Better colouration will develop under good light conditions. 

Shinnersia Rivularis 'Weiss-Grün' is relatively simple to grow. It grows quickly with higher fertilisation and CO2 although this is not strictly required. Rich and stable nutrients and CO2 will enhance its overall appearance. Plant the stems closely to achieve a denser look/

Cut healthy tops and replant, and lower nodes will sprout side shoots. Cutting will also promote more vigorous growth.
