Description
Background

Anubias barteri var. nana ‘Pinto’ is a selected cultivar of the dwarf A. barteri var. nana, renowned for its variegated foliage. It has white, light green, and dark green mottling that varies per leaf. Normal green leaves may appear under lower light. Its variegation and compact form make it a standout in aquascapes.

Placed in the midground or foreground, its variegation contrasts with other green plants and hardscape. Excellent in Nature-style, jungle-inspired, or paludarium layouts, especially on wood or rock.

Directions

Attach the plant to hardscape such as driftwood or rocks, allowing the rhizome to be exposed to flowing water. This plant is well-suited for low-tech set ups, but requires a little more light than other anubias to maintain its unique variegated leaves. A good balance of light and nutrients is important to control algae growth on this plant. To propagate, cut the rhizome with at least three leaves and reattach it to hardscape.
