Description
Background

Persicaria Sp. 'Sao Paulo' is originates from Brazil. Under the right conditions, this is probably the most intensively coloured plant species available in the aquarium landscape.

Only a few stems are enough to create an aesthetic display as this plant is more of a centrepiece to look at. It has a striking resemblance to bamboo which is perfect to create focal visuals.

Directions

Plant the stems closely with sufficient space between stems. Buoyancy is relatively neutral so it is not difficult to plant even in shallow substrate. It grows exceedingly well in the type of aquarium with CO2 injection and strong lighting.

Cut healthy tops and replant to propagate. Some of the older growth will need to be removed after a few months as they will show signs of ageing. New growth can be replanted.
