Description
Background

Ceratopteris Thalictroides, commonly known as Water Sprite, is a versatile and fast-growing aquarium plant that can be planted in the substrate or left floating. Its finely divided, bright green leaves create a soft, natural appearance while providing excellent shelter for fish and fry.

When planted, it works well as a mid or background plant. It thrives in low to medium light and does not require CO₂. Its rapid growth makes it especially useful for new aquariums, as it helps stabilise water conditions and outcompete algae. Regular pruning may be needed to manage its size.

Directions

Plant the stems closely together in a bunch. This will ensure the plants have enough space to grow and sprout side shoots to create a bushy effect.

Cut healthy tops and replant, and lower nodes will sprout side shoots. Trimming will encourage to plant to grow denser. Note that due to the fast growth, it is recommended to trim more frequently.
