Description
Background

Lysimachia Parvifolia or previously and incorrectly labelled as Samolus Parviflorus Red is relatively new to the hobby and originates from China. It has large red leaves that are tear shaped and all sprouting from the crown.

It has become somewhat of an iconic plant amongst enthusiasts as it is a very distinct plant often used as a focal point. Also, it is more forgiving than other rare plants to grow which makes it more accessible.

Directions

Plant in substrate and ensure its extensive root network is buried. This is to ensure that aerial roots are hidden rather than a condition for good growth. Lysimachia does not actually need to be buried to grow well. It does not require high level of light, fertilisation or CO2 although these parameters will encourage more vigorous growth and colouration.

As the plant matures it will naturally split and produce daughter plants. Once large enough, remove daughter plants and replant.
