Description
Background

Micranthemum Callitrichoides 'Cuba', or HC Cuba is a highly popular foreground aquarium plant native to Cuba. Known for its tiny, rounded leaves, it spreads slowly via runners to form a dense, vibrant carpet. Its compact growth and bright green colour make it ideal for aquascapes focused on flat planes.

It is a more demanding species and requires high light, CO₂ injection, and nutrient-rich substrate.

Directions

Separate the plant into small groups, and plant them 2 - 3cm apart for faster carpeting. It can also be attached to hardscape to form a cascading effect. Once it is rooted, it carpets quickly in a high-tech tank. This plant requires good light, stable CO₂ and fertilisation for healthy and compact growth. Regular trimming is required to promote lateral growth.
