Myriophyllum Mattogrossense 'Golden' - Rare Plant

Myriophyllum Mattogrossense 'Golden' is a feathery stem plant that is great all round in the aquarium. Its fine texture contrasts beautifully with broad-leaved plants and carpets, creating depth and softness. Perfect for achieving a lush, flowing background wall in planted tanks.

Whilst the standard Mattogrossense is a green in colouration, this variety is white with golden hues. It is more delicate than its cousin and therefore prefers higher light.

Plant the stems closely with sufficient space between stems. This plant can tolerate slight overcrowding, therefore it can be planted closer for a bushier effect. Will do better in mature tank conditions with adequate lighting. Higher fertilisation and CO2 injection will encourage stronger growth.

Cut healthy tops and replant, and lower nodes will sprout side shoots. This plant requires frequent trimmings due to its fast growth rate.
