Description
Background

Hygrophila triflora is a relatively new plant to the hobby. It is a stem plant characterised by its finely divided, feathery pink-green leaves. Compared to typical Hygrophila species, H. triflora is more compact and has shorter leaves. It adapts easily to a wide range of conditions and grows well in low to medium lighting, although stronger light will encourage more vibrant pink and red tones.

Regular trimming helps maintain shape and promotes bushier growth, with cuttings easily replanted for propagation. Hygrophila triflora is well suited to both beginner and advanced planted aquariums, especially nature-style and jungle layouts.

Directions

Plant into the substrate and ensured roots are fully buried. This plant will grow an extensive root network once established. It can tolerate some shading, and is flexible in terms of placement. A steady source of light and nutrients will be sufficient to grow it well.

To propagate, cut healthy tops and replant, and lower nodes will sprout side shoots readily.
