Description
Background

Eriocaulon ratnagiricum is an aquatic plant native to India. This rare species forms compact, spikey growth. Prized for its distinct appearance, it can add texture to any tank.

Under high light conditions it will often produce flowers and buds under water. These are usually longer than it's needle leaves.

Directions

Its precise care requirements make it a rewarding challenge, but when grown under ideal conditions, it thrives easily. As with all Eriocaulons, it is a heavy root feeder and should be planted in aqua soil with regular fertilising. High light and CO2 are a must as well.

Once established, it will send out an extensive root network. Propagation is relatively simple, cutting in half once large enough, and planting both pieces will yield two separate plants.
