Description
Background

Microsorum Pteropus 'Mini', more commonly known as Mini Java Fern, is a classic aquarium plant native to Southeast Asia. It grows attached to rocks, driftwood, and other hardscape, making it a versatile choice for aquascaping. Its broad, lance-shaped leaves create a lush, natural look and are highly adaptable to varying water conditions. Since it tolerates low light and minimal CO₂, it is one of the most popular beginner-friendly aquarium plants worldwide.

Directions

Attach the plant to hardscape such as driftwood or rocks, allowing the rhizome to be exposed to flowing water. This plant is well-suited for low-light set ups and does not mind being shaded by other plants.

To propagate, cut the rhizome with at least three leaves and reattach it to hardscape. Plantlets might form on the older or dying leaves. They can be plucked and replanted when they mature.
