Description
Background

Persicaria Sp. 'Pak Chong is originates from Thailand. It is very similar to other Persicaria species 'Sao Paulo' although slightly smaller. It has vibrant magenta coloured leaves with more green hues and a beige stem.

Only a few stems are enough to create an aesthetic display as this plant is more of a centrepiece to look at. It has a striking resemblance to bamboo which is perfect to create focal visuals.

Directions

Plant the stems closely with sufficient space between stems. Buoyancy is relatively neutral so it is not difficult to plant even in shallow substrate. It grows exceedingly well in the type of aquarium with CO2 injection and strong lighting.

Cut healthy tops and replant to propagate. Some of the older growth will need to be removed after a few months as they will show signs of ageing. New growth can be replanted.
