Background

Rotala Macrandra 'Pearl' is a compact, slow growing form of Rotala Macrandra. It is known for its tiny, rounded leaves that curls outwards naturally. Under strong lighting, the leaves develops pinkish hues. This Rotala Macrandra variant grows more compact and denser.

It is ideal in a Dutch Style tank for its unique leaf shape and colour, providing contrasts against other plants.

Directions

Plant the stems in substrate but with enough distance between plants to allow the plant to grow without shading each other. High light, rich and stable nutrients and CO2 will enhance its pink tones.Stable tank parameter is essentisl for this plant to thrive.

Cut healthy tops and replant, and lower nodes will sprout side shoots. Cutting will also promote more vigorous growth.
