Description
Background

Anubias hastifolia is a larger Anubias species known for its distinct arrow-shaped leaves and longer stems. It differs from most Anubias by producing leaves on extended petioles, which gives it a more open growth habit. Compared to Anubias barteri varieties, it grows taller and requires more space between leaves.

Low to moderate lighting is recommended to reduce algae risk. CO₂ is not required, though stable fertilisation helps maintain consistent growth. This plant performs best in aquascapes with stable conditions. Due to its size and leaf shape, it is best suited to medium and large aquariums.

Directions

Attach the plant to hardscape such as driftwood or rocks or plant in substrate, allowing the rhizome to be exposed to flowing water. This plant is well-suited for low-light set ups and does not mind being shaded by other plants.

To propagate, cut the rhizome with at least three leaves and reattach it to hardscape.
