Description
Background

Bucephalandra sordidula 'Blue' is a highly sought after bucephalandra for its shimmering leaves with exotic blue green hues. The small and dense silvery dots on the leaves surface adds elegance to it. It spreads via a creeping to ascending rhizome and branches readily, forming attractive clumps.

Placed in the midground or foreground, its unique leaf colour contrasts beautifully with hardscape, especially driftwood. Excellent in Nature-style, jungle-inspired, or paludarium layouts, especially on wood or rock anchors.

Directions

Plant in substrate or attach the plant to hardscape such as driftwood or rocks, allowing the rhizome to be exposed to flowing water. This plant is well-suited for low-tech set ups, but an RGB light will dramatically help to bring out colouration of the leaves. A good balance of light and nutrients is important to control algae growth on this plant.

To propagate, cut the rhizome with at least three leaves replant.
