Description
Background

Micranthemum Umbrosum, commonly known as pearl grass, originates from North America and is admired for its small, rounded leaves and fresh green colour. It is versatile and adaptable, thriving under a range of aquarium conditions.

Its fine-textured foliage grows into dense, bushy groups when planted in clusters, making it ideal for filling out the midground or background. Due to its rapid growth, it’s often used by aquascapers to quickly achieve a lush, natural look in planted tanks.

Directions

Separate the plant into small groups, and plant them closely for a bushier effect. Although this plant can be grown in non-CO₂ set ups, strong light, stable CO₂, and adequate nutrients will bring out the form and growth of this plant. High light is required to keep the growth compact.

To propagate cut healthy tops and replant. Lower nodes will sprout side shoots and grow naturally.
