Description
Background

Anubias ‘Petite White’ is a rare variegated form of the classic Anubias petite, featuring striking white and pale green variegation across its leaves. Due to its reduced chlorophyll content, it grows more slowly than standard green varieties, but its bright contrasting tones make it a standout feature in planted aquariums.

Compared to A. ‘Pinto’, ‘Petite White’ is considered more premium, displaying cleaner and whiter variegation without producing fully green leaves. Despite its high-end appearance, it remains relatively forgiving and far less demanding than many other white Anubias varieties, making it suitable for a wider range of aquarium setups. Similar in size to ‘Pinto’, its compact growth and consistent variegation make it an exceptional accent plant for both collectors and aquascapers alike.

Low to moderate lighting is recommended to reduce algae risk. CO₂ is not required, though stable fertilisation helps maintain consistent growth. This plant performs best in aquascapes with stable conditions.

Directions

Attach the plant to hardscape such as driftwood or rocks or plant in substrate, allowing the rhizome to be exposed to flowing water. This plant is well-suited for medium-light set ups and prefers not being shaded by other plants.

To propagate, cut the rhizome with at least three leaves and reattach it to hardscape.
