Description
Background

Alternanthera reineckii ‘Rosanervig’ originates from South America and is a super popular plant oweing to its colour and variegated leaves. It is characterised by the pink leaves with unique light coloured veins.

Its compact growth makes it a perfect contract for green plants in the midground. If trimmed well, it can even be utilised as a foreground plant in a bigger tank. It is mostly used in Dutch and Nature style tanks where colour grouping or accenting is desired.

Directions

Plant the stems in substrate but with enough distance between plants to allow the plant to grow without shading each other. High light, rich and stable nutrients and CO2 will enhance its red and pink tones.

Cut healthy tops and replant, and lower nodes will sprout side shoots. Cutting will also promote more vigorous growth.
