Tropica Aquarium Plant Aqua Soil Substrate

Tropica Aquarium Plant Aqua Soil is a substrate designed for aquarium plants. This fine-grained active substrate is a complete active substrate and does not require any additional layers. It is ideal for supporting strong root development while promoting vibrant colouration. As an active substrate, it naturally lowers pH and gently adjusts water chemistry to create optimal conditions for plant growth.

Aquarium Soil Powder promotes healthy, active plant growth from the start and enhances red plant tones. Because it is a nutrient-rich active substrate, we recommend changing 25–50% of the water at least twice a week during the first four weeks after setup.

How to calculate the required amount

1. Measure the tank’s length and width in centimetres (e.g., 90 × 60 cm).
2. Decide on your desired substrate depth (e.g., 8 cm).
   For the best visual effect, increase the depth toward the rear of the tank.
3. Use the formula:

Length × Width × Substrate Height / 1000

Example:
90 × 60 × 8 / 1000 = 43.2 L of Soil or Soil Powder required.
