Description
Background

Xyris Difformis Var. Difformis is a rare plant that thrives in wetland habitats in North America. This unique species grows blades of leaves in a fan arrangement, with beautiful transitions from greens to reds. Its emersed form is very different in appearance and almost unrecognisable to the submersed form.

Directions

Xyris Difformis Var. Difformis is best suited for experienced hobbyists who can maintain stable water parameters. It prefers rich substrate like soil but can also do well in inert mediums such as sand with enough fertiliser dosing. Due to its large root network, it is recommended to plant into a deep substrate for better anchorage. Higher light and CO2 is required.

Adult plants will grow daughter plants from the sides naturally. Once large enough, they can be manually removed from the mother and replanted.
