Description
Background

Anubias barteri var. nana originates from West Africa and is one of the most popular and undemanding aquarium plants. With its compact growth and durable, leathery leaves, it is resistant to grazing fish and thrives in low-tech setups. Its ability to attach to hardscape makes it versatile for aquascaping, from small nano tanks to larger displays. This plant remains attractive even in shaded areas, making it a go-to choice for low-light aquariums.

Anubias nana is a classic aquascaping plant for foreground and midground placement, as well as for decorating driftwood and rocks. Its rich green foliage contrasts beautifully with carpeting plants, mosses, and stem plants, making it ideal for Nature, Jungle, and Dutch-style aquariums.

Directions

Attach the plant to hardscape such as driftwood or rocks, allowing the rhizome to be exposed to flowing water. This plant is well-suited for low-light set ups and does not mind being shaded by other plants. To propagate, cut the rhizome with at least three leaves and reattach it to hardscape.
