Description
Background

Anubias ‘Petite Wavy’ is a compact aquarium plant variety with small green and distinctive crinkled leaves. Closely related to the popular Anubias nana ‘Petite’, it maintains the same miniature form while developing wavy leaf edges that provide additional texture and visual interest within aquascapes.

The plant produces small dark green leaves attached to a creeping rhizome, gradually forming dense clusters over rocks and driftwood. Compared to A. 'Kirin', it has denser growth, which makes it particularly useful for nano aquariums, detailed hardscape work, and foreground planting where larger Anubias species may appear oversized.

Like most Anubias, this plant is exceptionally hardy and adaptable. It performs well in both low-tech and high-tech aquariums, tolerating a wide range of water parameters and lighting levels. Its slow growth and hardiness make it an excellent choice for beginners and experienced aquascapers alike.

Directions

Attach Anubias ‘Petite Wavy’ to rocks, driftwood, or other hardscape using thread, fishing line, or aquarium-safe glue. Do not bury the rhizome in substrate, as this can lead to rot.

Provide low to moderate lighting and stable water conditions. CO₂ injection is not required but can improve growth rate and leaf size. Fertilise through the water column if desired.
