Description
Background

Anubias ‘Petite Mini’ is a miniature Anubias variety with exceptionally small leaves, compact proportions and attractive deep green foliage. Its delicate appearance and slow, controlled growth make it particularly suitable for detailed aquascaping, where larger Anubias varieties can overwhelm smaller hardscape features.

The plant develops tiny, rounded to oval leaves along a short creeping rhizome, gradually forming dense clusters. Its deep green colour creates an attractive contrast against rocks, driftwood and lighter-coloured plants. Once established, ‘Petite Mini’ can slowly spread across hardscape surfaces.

Compared with the popular Anubias nana ‘Petite’, ‘Petite Mini’ is generally selected for its particularly smaller size. It offers a finer appearance that is especially useful in nano aquariums and intricate layouts. Compared with Anubias ‘Pangolino’, which develops narrow leaves, ‘Petite Mini’ retains the more familiar rounded leaf shape associated with miniature Anubias.

Directions

Attach Anubias ‘Petite Mini’ to rocks, driftwood, or other hardscape using thread, fishing line, or aquarium-safe glue. Do not bury the rhizome in substrate, as this can lead to rot.

Provide low to moderate lighting and stable water conditions. CO₂ injection is not required but can improve growth rate and leaf size. Fertilise through the water column if desired.
