Description

Aquapro Hanging CO₂ Drop Checker is a simple and effective tool used to monitor CO₂ levels within a planted aquarium. Its compact design allows it to sit discreetly half inside and outside the aquarium while providing a clear visual indication of CO₂ levels.

When used with CO₂ indicator solution, the drop checker changes colour based on the concentration of dissolved CO₂ in the aquarium water. Blue indicates low CO₂, green indicates an ideal level, and yellow suggests excessive CO₂. This makes it much easier to fine tune your CO₂ injection rate and maintain stable carbon levels for healthy plant growth while protecting fish and shrimp from excessive CO₂ exposure.

Suitable for aquariums up to 12mm glass thickness.

Directions

1. Fill the drop checker approximately halfway with CO₂ indicator solution.

2. Carefully invert the drop checker to prevent the solution from spilling, and hang on side of aquarium with open end in water.

3. Place it on the opposite side of the aquarium from the CO₂ diffuser for a more accurate reading of overall CO₂ distribution.

4. Allow approximately 1 to 2 hours for the indicator solution to respond to aquarium CO₂ levels.

5. Observe the colour of the solution: Blue = CO₂ too low, Green = Ideal CO₂ level, Yellow = CO₂ too high

6. Replace the indicator solution regularly to maintain accurate results.

Always monitor CO₂ levels carefully when first setting up the system or when changing to a new canister. Stable CO₂ levels are important for both plant health and livestock safety. Pressurised CO₂ systems provide precise and consistent carbon supplementation for planted aquariums.
