Description
Background

Lindernia rotundifolia ‘Variegated’ naturally grows on sandy stream banks in Asia. This attractive marbled variety features variegated leaves, though it may occasionally produce shoots with entirely green foliage. These green shoots should be trimmed away to preserve the plant’s distinctive marbled appearance.

An undemanding and fast-growing plant, it quickly forms compact, dense groups and may require occasional pruning to maintain shape. It is versatile in aquascaping, working well as a background plant or as a striking solitary feature in the mid-ground, with leaves growing densely from top to bottom.

Directions

Plant stems closely together in small bunches to create a dense, bushy look while allowing light to reach all leaves. This plant grows well in most conditions, but higher light, stable nutrients, and CO₂ will enhance growth.

Trim and replant healthy tops to encourage side shoots and more vigorous, compact growth. Trimmings can be replanted to propagate.
