Description
Background

Ludwigia inclinata var. verticillata 'Meta' is a rare South American plant that looks very similar to 'Pantanal', but it is less demanding. When grown under its optimum conditions, it develops deep red colouration. It has thin narrow leaves that resembles a bottle brush, and gives it a bushy appearance.

'Meta' is best suited for midground or background to create a visual impact in the tank with its bold colouration and leaf structure. It is an exceptional red plant that is extremely popular amongst aquascapers. It contrasts very well with green plants, and is commonly seen in Dutch style layouts.

Directions

Plant the stems in small groups to create a bushy effect in the tank. Although this plant shows red colouration under moderate conditions, strong light, stable CO₂ and fertilisation intensify the colouration.

Cut healthy tops and replant, and lower nodes will sprout side shoots readily. Regular topping and replanting maintains bushy form and prevents legginess.
